When one battles low self esteem, half the time we are battling a lot of self neglect and lack of confidence amongst other things.
We are reluctant to put ourselves first because we have doubts and always second guessing our abilities to do things that we are even good at.
Sometimes the inability to accept compliments and dwelling only on the negatives are another factor also.
Here are a few things to try….
Make conscious effort to take credit for all that you do even if it means writing them down so you remember, do the things that stimulate your creativity.
Learn to spot the negatives and keep them at bay, change your circle to those who only respect, know your worth and are not afraid to shout it from the roof top.
Positive relationships that will boost your esteem is the key of interaction in and out of the office.
It is OK to challenge yourself but do not over criticize yourself, do not ever entertain the thought that you are inadequate or unworthy.
Most importantly Be Kind To Yourself.

Eg a skirt that fits every jacket you own and a jacket that fits both skirts and trousers that you own.
You don’t need to have too many clothes to achieve this all you need is enough clothes to swap with and more accessories

Even those on a budget can do this as well because its not the amount of clothes you have but the ability to carefully choose your pieces, to be able to curb the urge to buy things you don’t need and buying only relevant timeless pieces.
a simple colorful scarf can put a spin in an outfit or a broach, this is why having more accessories is one the keys.
Carefully planning your outfits so as to look effortless stylish is another major key.

There are two ways you can make an impression, Verbal Or Non-Verbal.
These are ways you communicate yourself to others, the most important is Non-Verbal, your clothes do the talking first before you open your mouth to say anything.
And when you finally get to talk , more than half of the time the tone of your voice matters more than what you are saying.
This is why a nice person might cut across as offensive simply because the person is high pitched.
